Installation

Installation is very convenient because the SAA arrives on a reel and is inserted into inexpensive 27 mm PVC casing (ordinary electrical conduit). The PVC casing is normally grouted into a borehole. The casing and array withstand enormous deformations compared to ordinary inclinometer installations. Our record so far is 3 m (10’) deformation. The SAAF is still operating 2.5 years after that deformation.
