SAAF is an SAA for monitoring deformation and vibration in the field. All microprocessors in the array share the same digital communication line, enabling long array lengths to 100 m (limited only by pressure-withstand of the coverings).

For installations within 60 deg of vertical, SAAF reports a 3D polyline representing its shape. Software can be set to read 2D data when the array is all or partly near-horizontal.

SAAR is an SAA for monitoring deformation and vibration at the highest possible data rates. Each microprocessor in the array has a dedicated digital communication line, which limits the array length to 24 segments. Most SAARs are used in shaker-table research, but can also be useful for studying soil or structure dynamics in the field.

Data from SAAR are the same as from SAAF.

FAA is a very flexible array of sensors, smaller than SAA. It is useful for 2D measurements in shallow soils in the field or laboratory.

PODs are like segments of SAA separated by cables. They are recommended for monitoring civil structures at spaced intervals.

FAA and PODs have digital data handling and accessories similar to that of SAA.

SAADC_Utilities and SAA3D are

used to set up a Measurand Data Concentrator and view data from

field installations where there is a clear progression of deformation, or sudden vibration exceeding a limit.

SAA3D imports field data from the web, or is used to view data extracted from our Data Concentrators or is used to view an export from SAARecorder.

SAARecorder is used for real-time viewing of deformation or vibration, when SAAs are connected to a PC rather than Data Concentrators. Data can be exported to spreadsheets or SAA3D.

Field installations normally use solar-powered Data Concentrators to collect and store data, and transfer data to your desktop via our automated servers. Various options are available, including direct reading of an SAA with a laptop, periodic transfer from a Data Concentrator to a laptop, or various wireless methods.  Research installations

normally use a PC to acquire data in "real time".

Data may be exported to spreadsheets, Matlab, or to our 3D viewer.
