SAA Interfaces
SAAUSB is used for connecting an SAA to a PC’s USB port. It is used when viewing SAA data in real-time with SAARecorder software. SAAUSB includes a universal AC input power adapter, an RS485 to RS232/USB converter, and cables.
(addendum: 3.1 mm connector should be 2.1 mm connector)
A portable unit designed to provide power to the SAA, and to convert communications protocols allowing for communication via USB between the SAA and a PC running SAARecorder Software. It is designed for use when data is manually collected from an SAA in the field or in the office.
SAA uses RS485 communications protocol. The SAA232 allows the user to communicate with SAA over RS232 lines. It incorporates a resettable fuse and surge protection, and automatically applies power to SAA only when the RS232 port is being used. This limits SAA power consumption without requiring additional wiring or devices.
SAA232-5
This is the same as SAA232, but accepts up to five SAAs and connects them all to one serial port of a logger or PC. This is the perfect solution for connecting up to 10 SAAs to one CR800 logger or 20 SAAs to one CR1000 logger.
The SAAXYZ is a microprocessor interface to Measurand’s ShapeAccelArray (SAA) devices. It allows the user to get Cartesian XYZ position data directly out of the SAA.
Instructions for using the SAA232-5 can be found in Appendix F of the SAA Manual
