Specifications of Vertical or Horizontal Field-Model ShapeAccelArray
Size, configuration:
•May be used in vertical or horizontal modes.
•Measures 3D shape within 45 degrees of vertical as x, y, z displacements, and tilt angles.
Near-horizontal shapes are measured as 2D projections in a vertical plane.
•Measures x,y, and z accelerations in each segment.
•Maximum Diameter: 25 mm.
•Standard Length of segments: 305 mm (12 inches) (Joint center - Joint center).
•Available custom segment lengths: 250-2000 mm (Joint center - Joint center).
•Segment lengths over 305 mm cannot be shipped by courier due to reel size.
•Standard length of non-sensorized FAR anchor segment: 152 mm.
•Number of segments: 8,16,… 328.
•Number of sub-arrays: 1 - 41 (each with 8 segments).
•Total length: 2.44 - 99.9 m (+ strain relief: approx. 0.2 m, + FAR anchor segment 305 mm).

as 2D projections in a vertical plane.

•Segment lengths over 305 mm cannot be shipped by courier due to reel size.
•Standard Length of non-sensorized FAR anchor segment: 152 mm.

•Number of sub-arrays: 1 - 3 (each with 8 segments).
•Total sensorized length: 2.44 m - 7.32 m .

comprised of an interface box for up to four SAARs, remote recording and
synchronization inputs, and high-speed RS485 cards. Most systems
are quoted complete with a PC with cards installed, and all accessories.
Arrays with one sub-array (8 segments only) can be connected directly to the
serial port of a PC (not included) using a Measurand RS485 to RS232 converter.
